NoteFlow ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the NoteFlow mobile application ("App") handles your information. By using NoteFlow, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Overview

NoteFlow is designed with privacy at its core. The App works completely offline and stores all your notes, tasks, journal entries, drawings, and other data locally on your device. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect personal data for cloud storage or user profiles.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Data You Create

All content you create within the App — including text notes, checklists, images, drawings, links, quotes, journal entries, tags, categories, and vault notes — is stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share or export it.

2.2 Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your name, email address, or phone number (no account required)
• Your note content to our servers
• Your location data
• Your contacts or other device data unrelated to note-taking

2.3 App Lock & Biometric Data

If you enable App Lock (PIN) or biometric unlock (fingerprint / Face ID), authentication is handled entirely by your device's operating system. NoteFlow does not store, access, or transmit your biometric data. Your PIN is stored securely on your device.

2.4 AI Features

When you use AI-powered features (such as note summaries, title generation, to-do generation, or tag suggestions), the relevant note content may be processed to generate results. Any processing occurs in accordance with the AI service provider's policies. We recommend not including highly sensitive personal information in notes processed by AI features.

3. How We Use Information

Since NoteFlow stores data locally, we use your information only to:

• Provide note creation, organization, and management features within the App
• Enable security features such as app lock, biometric unlock, and the hidden vault
• Display productivity statistics and activity logs within the App
• Process AI feature requests when you choose to use them

4. Data Storage & Security

All note data is stored locally on your device using secure local storage. You are responsible for keeping your device secure, including using a screen lock and enabling app lock within NoteFlow for additional protection.

The Hidden Vault feature provides an extra layer of security for sensitive notes. Vault notes are stored separately within the App's local database on your device.

If you uninstall the App without exporting a backup, all locally stored data will be permanently deleted from your device.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Data may only leave your device when you:

• Share a note as text using your device's share functionality
• Export a backup file (JSON) to your chosen location
• Use AI features that require content processing

6. Backup & Export

NoteFlow allows you to export a full backup of your notes as a JSON file. This file is created on your device and saved to a location you choose. We do not have access to exported backup files.

7. Children's Privacy

NoteFlow is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to address the concern.

8. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services for AI functionality and app distribution (such as Google Play). These services have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with through the App.

9. Future Cloud Sync

A cloud sync feature is planned for a future update. If and when this feature is released, we will update this Privacy Policy to describe what data is synced, how it is protected, and what controls you have over cloud storage. Cloud sync will be optional and will require your explicit consent.

10. Your Rights

Because your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can:

• View, edit, and delete any note at any time
• Export your data as a JSON backup
• Permanently delete data by removing notes or uninstalling the App
• Disable app lock or biometric features at any time

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
