Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the NoteFlow mobile application ("App"). By downloading, installing, or using NoteFlow, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. About NoteFlow

NoteFlow is a personal note-taking and productivity application that allows you to create, organize, and manage notes, checklists, journal entries, and more. The App operates primarily offline, storing data locally on your device.

2. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use NoteFlow on your personal device for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and any applicable app store terms.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its source code
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

3. User Responsibilities

As a user of NoteFlow, you are responsible for:

• All content you create, store, and share through the App
• Keeping your device and app lock credentials secure
• Backing up your notes using the export feature if you wish to preserve data
• Ensuring your use of the App complies with applicable laws

You agree not to use NoteFlow to store or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or infringes on the rights of others.

4. Data & Local Storage

NoteFlow stores all data locally on your device. We are not responsible for data loss caused by device failure, accidental deletion, App uninstallation, or failure to create backups. We strongly recommend using the built-in JSON export feature to back up your notes regularly.

The trash bin feature retains deleted notes for up to 30 days before permanent removal. After this period, deleted notes cannot be recovered.

5. Security Features

NoteFlow offers optional security features including a 4-digit PIN lock, biometric authentication, and a Hidden Vault. While these features enhance privacy, no security system is impenetrable. You acknowledge that you use these features at your own risk and that we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you forget your PIN, recovery options may be limited. We are not responsible for inability to access locked or vaulted content due to forgotten credentials.

6. AI Features

NoteFlow includes optional AI-powered tools such as note summaries, title generation, to-do generation, and tag suggestions. AI-generated content is provided for convenience and may not always be accurate or complete. You should review AI outputs before relying on them.

Use of AI features may be subject to additional terms from the underlying AI service provider. We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue AI features at any time.

7. Intellectual Property

NoteFlow, including its design, code, logos, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Your notes and content remain yours — we do not claim ownership of any content you create within the App.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

NoteFlow is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Defects will be corrected
• The App will meet your specific requirements
• AI-generated content will be accurate or reliable

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or device damage, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any) in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Future Features

We may add, modify, or remove features from NoteFlow at any time, including the planned cloud sync feature. Future features may be subject to updated Terms and Privacy Policy, which will be communicated to users before they take effect.

11. App Store Terms

If you downloaded NoteFlow from the Google Play Store or any other app marketplace, your use of the App is also subject to that platform's terms of service. In case of conflict between these Terms and app store terms, the app store terms shall prevail with respect to your relationship with the store.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. Upon termination, your locally stored data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the competent courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
